The left navigation panel holds the things that are about this computer and your session rather than about your books: printers, the Admin screen, settings, updates, switching company and signing out. Everything to do with the books themselves is on the menu bar.
Opening and closing it
Click ☰ (Menu) at the far left of the dark bar at the top of the screen. The panel slides in from the left. Click outside it, or press Esc, to close it.
At the top of the panel are the SeroBooks logo, the version you are running (Version: *number*) and the name you are signed in as. At the bottom are the copyright line and the support address, support@seropos.app.
What is in it
The point-of-sale items of SeroPOS — the day's till report (DSR), the till's recent sales, the customer display (Multi Monitor) and the kitchen and register items — are not in SeroBooks. Your sales reports and transaction lists are on the Reports and Customers menus, and a second monitor is set up with View ▸ Extend Across All Monitors.
Items your role may not use show a small padlock at the right. Clicking one asks for someone with the permission to approve it: "'item' is locked for your role. An Admin or Manager can approve this action."
