The A2X alternative that is not another subscription

A2X exists because most ledgers cannot digest an Amazon settlement. It does that job well — for a monthly fee, into a ledger that still needs a POS and inventory apps beside it. SeroBooks' position: settlement accounting is an accounting feature, not an industry.

What A2X exists to solve

Marketplace settlement accounting is genuinely hard, and A2X built a good business solving it: take Amazon's settlement, break out the fees, and produce a summarized journal your accounting package can accept. Sellers use it because doing this by hand is error-prone and slow.

SeroBooks does that work inside the ledger it already keeps, which removes both the subscription and the handoff.

Both halves, in one place

Orders become invoices with place-of-supply tax by destination province; settlements become journals with commission, fulfilment, storage, advertising and the tax on those fees itemised. The clearing account rises as sales post and falls as payouts arrive — the shape that proves the books carry both halves of marketplace money.

Unmapped fee descriptions land visibly in a holding account rather than being guessed into an expense, so a new Amazon charge announces itself instead of hiding.

Verified, not just implemented

The settlement posting and the QuickBooks Desktop bridge behind it were reconciled account-for-account against a real production seller's company file, including the tax-code behaviour that silently breaks marketplace invoices: QuickBooks recomputes tax from each line's code, so a code charging a different rate than the sale produces a different total with nothing rejected.

SeroBooks checks every rate against what its QuickBooks code actually charges and flags mismatches before anything syncs.

Honestly, when A2X still fits

If you are committed to QuickBooks Online or Xero as your ledger and only need the settlement translation, A2X does that job well and supports marketplaces beyond Amazon. Replacing your whole ledger to remove one subscription is not a trade that makes sense on its own.

SeroBooks is the better answer when you want the marketplace, the stock and the books to be one system.
