Two plans, one for Amazon sellers, and the price you are paying now
Billed in US dollars. Every plan includes all thirteen provinces' tax treatment, US sales tax if you sell there, and a 14-day trial. Accountant seats are always free.
What you pay now, and what you would pay us
SeroBooks prices are in US dollars. The QuickBooks figures below are their published Canadian list prices, so the two are not directly comparable and we are not going to pretend otherwise by printing a percentage — do the conversion at today’s rate and the comparison is still ours to make. Check every number; the point of putting them here is that you can.
SeroBooks Standard
Intuit stopped selling those editions to new customers in September 2024, and support for the last non-Enterprise version ends 30 September 2027. This is the whole of the books, for less than Pro Plus costs you now.
- Invoicing, quotations, credit notes and returns
- Bills, expenses and purchase invoices
- Banking and reconciliation
- GST, HST, PST, RST and QST by place of supply — all 13 provinces
- US sales tax with economic nexus, if you sell there
- Full double-entry ledger and manual journals
- P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance
- Customer statements, recurring documents, deposits
- Sales tax filing — post the liability, close the period
- Move from QuickBooks, with a trial balance that has to balance first
- Maya briefings, read-only (early access)
No payroll, purchase orders, sales orders, warehouse, fixed assets, T2/GIFI or year-end close — those are Pro.
SeroBooks Pro
Everything in Standard, plus the parts a bigger business cannot do without — and it takes payroll software off your bill as well.
- Everything in Standard
- Payroll — Canada and the United States, with T4s and W-2s
- Contractor slips (T4A, T5018)
- Purchase orders, goods received, sales orders
- Warehouse bins, expiry dates, serial lookup, stock transfers
- Fixed assets and CCA, including the half-year rule
- T2 and GIFI codes
- Year-end close, period locks and the audit trail
- Budget vs actual, payment runs, cheque printing
- Forecasting — reorder levels, stock-out dates, seasonal peaks
- Maya drafts purchase orders, journals and payment runs for approval (early access)
SeroBooks for Amazon
A plan of its own, not a cheaper Standard. Settlements, fees, taxes and returns reconciled and posted to a real ledger you never have to open.
- Amazon settlement sync — settlements, orders, fees, taxes, returns
- Reconciled to the cent and posted to the ledger automatically
- Marketplace tax handled by who actually collected it
- Tax reports and the report centre, so you can file
- Posting setup, so you decide where everything lands
- Customers and contacts
No chart of accounts, journals or financial statements — deliberately. If you want those, Standard is the plan.
What we do not do
Records of Employment. Payroll runs, files and produces T4s and W-2s. It does not produce an ROE, and if that is a hard requirement you should know it now rather than in March.
Live bank feeds are rolling out, not universal. Reconciliation is designed to work perfectly well from a CSV statement, because that is what most Canadian banks give you reliably today.
Foreign-currency sales are not built. Multi-currency bills, with realised exchange gain and loss on settlement, are there. Invoicing a customer in a currency other than your own is not, and we will say so again if you ask.
Maya’s drafting is early access. She answers questions and sends briefings on every plan. Drafting purchase orders, journals and payment runs — always for a human to approve, never posted on her own — is a Pro feature and is still early access. The claim we make about Maya is governance, not cleverness.
Forecasting is arithmetic, not AI. It reads your own sales history and tells you when you run out, what to reorder and which weeks repeat every year. It shows its bands honestly and it does not learn. We would rather say that than call it a model.
Frequently asked questions
Is that per user or per business?
Per business, with users included — three on Standard, six on Pro, two on the Amazon plan. Seat friction is what makes people share logins, and a shared login destroys the audit trail an accountant relies on. More seats are available; ask us rather than buying blind.
Do accountants and bookkeepers cost a seat?
No, and they never will. One login across every client's books, with a practice dashboard showing each client's tie-outs and unfiled periods. We do not charge the person who recommends us.
Does Standard include payroll?
No. Payroll is a Pro feature — Canada and the United States, with T4s and W-2s, and a pay run that reaches the ledger exactly once. Standard is the whole of the books without it. We would rather draw that line clearly here than have you find it on a Friday.
Why is the Amazon plan cheaper than Standard?
Because it is a different product, not a smaller one. It reconciles and posts your Amazon settlements to a real ledger and gives you the reports to file — and it deliberately has no chart of accounts, no journals and no financial statements. Sellers who want those buy Standard.
Can I pay monthly?
Yes, on every plan. Annual is ten months for twelve — US$1,500 against US$1,800 on Standard, US$3,000 against US$3,600 on Pro, US$990 against US$1,188 on the Amazon plan.
What happens if we outgrow a plan?
Upgrading opens the extra features immediately and changes nothing already in your books. The plan decides what is available, never what is already recorded.
What happens if we stop paying?
You can still read, export and file from your own ledger. Those are records the law requires you to keep, and holding them hostage to collect a renewal is not a business model. A full company export — general ledger, every document, every attachment — is one button on the Year-End screen.
Are these prices final?
They are what we are launching with. Early-access businesses keep founding terms, and a business signed at one price keeps that price when the standard offer moves.
