App Settings holds settings for SeroBooks on this computer: which integrated card terminal (if any) this computer uses, and the card surcharge. It also holds Delete Account.
Company-wide choices — how invoices, bills, tax and the books behave for everyone — are not here. They are in Edit ▸ Preferences… and Company ▸ Accounting Setup. See Preferences.
Opening App Settings
- Company ▸ App Settings… (at the bottom of the Company menu)
- Menu ▸ Settings (the ☰ button at the left of the top bar)
Your role needs the App Settings permission (on the Workspace tab of the role). Without it, a Manager Approval box asks an Admin or Manager to approve opening the screen this once. The Admin always has access.
The screen is headed SETTINGS. Every switch takes effect as soon as you change it; there is no Save button. Close the screen with the back arrow.

If you press a gear button while its switch is off, a message asks you to switch it on first — for example Please Enable Global Payments, Please Enable Gravity Payments, Please Enable Global Pay Cloud or Please Enable Moneris Payments.
On a narrow window, a Show Product Images switch (Turn off to hide photos in the product list) also appears.
Invoices print from the invoice itself — the ticks under When this is saved on Create Invoices, or Print Invoice on a saved invoice — so there is no printing switch here.
Integrated card terminals
When one of the terminal switches is on and set up, choosing a card payment when you take money on an invoice sends the amount to that terminal, and the payment is recorded only when the terminal approves it. When no terminal is switched on, a card payment is simply recorded as the method you chose — the right set-up if you use a standalone card machine that is not connected to SeroBooks.
With Global Pay Cloud on, a card-terminal button also appears in the top bar, with the terminal's day-end, card history and terminal test.
Terminal set-up needs details from your payment provider (account and terminal identifiers). Contact support through Menu ▸ Admin ▸ Live Support if you are setting one up for the first time.
Close Batch
Close Batch (on the Global Payments row) settles the day's card transactions with Global Payments and prints the day-end report. Use it at the end of each trading day if your business takes cards through a Global Payments terminal. It only works while Global Payments is switched on.
Delete Account
Delete Account removes the login you are signed in with — not the company, and not other users.
- Click Delete Account.
- Read the warning: Are you sure you want to delete your account permanently? — Once Deleted, This cannot be reversed.
- Click Ok to delete, or Cancel to go back.
After Ok, the message Account Deleted Successfully appears, SeroBooks clears everything it stored on this computer and restarts at the sign-in screen. You can no longer sign in with that login.
The company's only Admin cannot be deleted. If yours is the only login with the Admin role, the message This is the only Admin of the company, so it cannot be deleted. Make another user an Admin first. appears and nothing is deleted: you stay signed in. Give another user the Admin role in Set Up Users and Roles first. If the deletion could not reach the server, The account could not be deleted. Check the connection and try again. appears and nothing changes.

Tips
- Set up terminals on the computer beside the terminal. Each computer has its own terminal switches.
- Leave settings you do not recognise off. SeroBooks works fully without any terminal integration.
- Printer choices are elsewhere. Use File ▸ Printer Setup… to add or change printers; see Printer Setup.
Common problems
A Manager Approval box appears when I open App Settings. Your role lacks the App Settings permission. Ask the Admin to tick it on your role's Workspace tab.
A card payment was recorded without going to the terminal. No terminal switch is on for this computer, or the terminal is not set up. Open App Settings on the computer you took the payment on.
Close Batch says to enable Global Payments. Switch Global Payments on first; Close Batch only works with it on.
