The Amazon reports bring your Amazon selling into the Report Centre, so you can print, export, email and schedule them beside the Profit & Loss at month-end. They answer where you sold, how the goods were shipped, what was refunded, what Amazon charged, and what each payout was made of.
The Amazon category appears in the Report Centre only when your company has Amazon orders. Connect your Seller Central account first; see Connect Amazon and Amazon settings.
Where to find them
Reports ▸ Report Centre, category Amazon. These reports are not on the Reports menu. The Amazon menu opens the Amazon screens themselves (Settlements, Orders, Fees and so on); see Amazon in SeroBooks.
Two ways of dating Amazon money
The reports use two different dates on purpose, and each says which one it uses:
| Basis | Reports | Dated by |
|---|---|---|
| Orders | Amazon Sales by Marketplace, Amazon Sales by Fulfilment | The day each order was placed. These agree with the figures on the Amazon screens. |
| Settlements | Amazon Fees by Type, Amazon Refunds by Item, Amazon Settlement Summary | The day Amazon posted a charge or refund, or deposited a payout. |
Your books record Amazon money when Amazon pays you, so Amazon Settlement Summary is the report whose months agree with the Profit & Loss. An order placed on 30 June and settled in July is a June sale on the order reports and July income in the books.
These reports have a period and no other filters. See Running a report.
Amazon Sales
Amazon Sales by Marketplace
What it answers: how much you sold on Amazon.ca, Amazon.com and each other marketplace, and what was left after fees and refunds.
Date: a period (order date).
Columns:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Marketplace | The Amazon marketplace. |
| Orders | How many orders. Cancelled orders are left out. |
| Units | Units ordered. |
| Sales excl. tax | Product charges plus the shipping and gift wrap the customer paid. |
| Tax collected | Tax charged on the orders. |
| Promotions | Discounts given (negative). |
| Refunded | Money refunded to customers (negative). |
| Amazon fees | Amazon's fees on the orders (negative). |
| After fees & refunds | Sales plus promotions and fees, less refunds. |
| Share | The marketplace's share of sales. |
Rows: one per marketplace, largest first, then a TOTAL row.
Amazon Sales by Fulfilment
What it answers: how your Amazon sales split between orders Amazon fulfilled from its warehouses and orders you shipped yourself.
Date: a period (order date).
Columns: the same as Amazon Sales by Marketplace, with Fulfilment in the first column: Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA), Fulfilled by you (FBM), or Not yet known for orders Amazon has not yet reported on.
Rows: one per fulfilment method, then a TOTAL row.
Amazon Refunds by Item
What it answers: what Amazon refunded to customers, per product.
Date: a period (the date Amazon posted the refund).
Columns: Amazon SKU, Item (the SeroBooks item the SKU is matched to, or Not mapped), Orders refunded, Units and Price refunded (the item price refunded, excluding tax).
Rows: one per SKU, largest refund first, then a TOTAL row.
Drill down: click a matched SKU to open the item.
Related: Returns shows whether each refunded unit came back, and whether a reimbursement is due.
Amazon Payouts
Amazon Fees by Type
What it answers: every charge Amazon made, grouped the way your books record them.
Date: a period (the date Amazon posted each charge).
Columns: Charge (Amazon's own description), Amazon transaction type, Lines (how many settlement lines) and Amount.
Rows: one section per kind of charge, each matching an account in your books:
- Referral fees (commission)
- FBA fulfilment & shipping
- FBA storage
- Subscription & service fees
- Advertising
- Lost & damaged inventory, reimbursements
- Tax charged on Amazon's fees (recoverable)
- Promotions
- Not yet classified: charges SeroBooks has not yet matched to an account
Each section has a total, and a TOTAL CHARGED row closes the report. Negative amounts are money Amazon kept; positive amounts are money it gave back, such as a refunded commission or a reimbursement.
Sales, refunds of the item price, tax and the reserve are not charges and are left out.
Related: Fees on the Amazon menu.

Common problems
The Amazon category is missing from the Report Centre. Your company has no Amazon orders yet. Connect your account in Amazon settings and let the first orders arrive.
Amazon sales on these reports do not match the Profit & Loss. The sales reports are dated by order; the books record Amazon money when Amazon settles it. Compare Amazon Settlement Summary with the Profit & Loss instead.
A charge is under Not yet classified. Amazon used a description SeroBooks has not matched to an account. See Fees.
An SKU shows Not mapped on Amazon Refunds by Item. The Amazon SKU is not linked to a SeroBooks item. Link it on the Amazon Products screen.
