Amazon identifies what you sell by your seller SKU. SeroBooks identifies it by an item in your Item List. The Products screen connects the two. A mapped SKU lets SeroBooks put a cost of goods against every Amazon sale (so profit is real profit), open the item's history from any Amazon screen, and move stock correctly when Amazon sends units back to you.
Every SKU that has appeared in a settlement is listed here, with how much of it Amazon's warehouses hold.

Filters and Auto-map
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| all | Every SKU seen in your settlements. Unmapped SKUs are listed first, then the most recently seen. |
| unmapped | SKUs not yet matched to an item. |
| mapped | SKUs matched to an item. |
| review | Matches marked for someone to check. |
| Auto-map | Matches every unmapped SKU whose text is exactly the SKU of an item variation, or exactly an item's SKU. You see Auto-map complete. Nothing already mapped is changed. |
The list shows the first 50 SKUs for the chosen filter.
Each SKU
| Part | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Link icon | Green link: mapped. Orange broken link: unmapped. |
| SKU | Amazon's seller SKU. |
| FBA n | Units Amazon can sell right now, from the latest daily stock snapshot; (+n inbound) and · n unfulfillable when there are any. Shown in red when Amazon holds none. FBA — means there is no snapshot for that SKU, not zero. |
| Subtitle (mapped) | product # id / variation # id · how it was matched: exact variation SKU, exact product SKU or manual. |
| Subtitle (unmapped) | unmapped · seen in n settlement(s). |
| Map / Remap | Opens the mapping dialog. |
Click a mapped SKU to open the item's Product 360 summary, the same one the Item List opens, with its FBA counts, sales history and stock by location. An unmapped SKU has nothing to open.
Mapping a SKU by hand
- Choose Map (or Remap) on the SKU.
- In the Map SKU dialog, enter the Product id of the SeroBooks item.
- If the item has variations (sizes, colours), enter the Variation id as well. It is optional for a single item.
- Choose Map. You see Mapped.
If you leave Product id empty you are told Enter a product id. A product that does not belong to your company is refused.
Mapping your catalogue, step by step
- Choose unmapped to see only the SKUs still needing an item.
- Choose Auto-map. Every SKU that exactly matches an item's SKU (or a variation's SKU) is mapped, and the subtitle records exact variation SKU or exact product SKU as the evidence.
- Work through what is left. For each, either give the SeroBooks item the same SKU and press Auto-map again, or choose Map and enter the item's ids.
- Choose mapped and check the subtitles. If a SKU points at the wrong item, choose Remap and enter the right one.
- Make sure each mapped item has a cost price, so Amazon profit is true profit.
What mapping changes
- Profit. Amazon sales of the SKU pick up the item's cost price, so the Overview and Insights can show net profit, margin and ROI instead of profit before cost of goods.
- Drill-downs. Double-clicking the SKU on Storage, Buy Box, Traffic, Recovery, Inbound or the fee audit opens the item.
- Returns. Units you book in from an Amazon removal move into stock at your location only when the SKU is mapped.
- Issues. An open Map product issue for the SKU can be resolved.
Amazon sales never reduce your own on-hand quantity: FBA stock sits in Amazon's warehouses and is tracked from Amazon's daily snapshot.
Permissions
Mapping, remapping and Auto-map need the Map a Listing action in the user's role. Without it, Map and Remap open an Approval Required window so that someone whose role has the action can approve, and Auto-map is refused with You do not have permission for this. Ask an administrator to grant it under Users & Roles.
Common problems
"No Amazon SKUs seen yet — they appear as settlements import." No settlement has been imported. Pull one under Settings.
Auto-map matched nothing. No item has a SKU identical to Amazon's (every letter, digit and dash must match). Edit the item's SKU or map by hand.
Profit still says "before cost of goods". The SKU is mapped, but the item has no cost price. Set a purchase price on the item.
