Favorites menu

Your own menu of the commands you use most, set up with Customize Favorites.

serobooks / favoritesLive

The Favorites menu is yours to fill. Put the menu items you use every day on it, in the order you want, and reach them with one click instead of working through submenus. It sits on the menu bar straight after Lists, as it does in QuickBooks Desktop.

Opening the Favorites menu

  • Click Favorites on the menu bar, or rest the pointer on it.
  • Press Alt+T (the t in Favorites is underlined). It is not Alt+A, because Alt+A (like Alt+S) saves the form in front of you, as in QuickBooks.

What the menu shows

  1. The items you chose, in your order. Each one works exactly as it does on its own menu: Create Invoices on Favorites opens Create Invoices just as Customers ▸ Create Invoices does, with the same permission checks.
  2. A grey line (only when you have chosen something).
  3. Customize Favorites…, which is always there.

A favourite your role cannot open is not drawn, the same as on the other menus.
