Payment day, in one controlled action
Instead of paying twenty bills twenty times, a payment run pays them once: pick what is due, review the batch total, execute. The right to execute a run is separately grantable, because moving that much money deserves its own key.
What you get
The week's bills, settled in one action
A payment run turns the pile of due bills into one deliberate act: select what to pay, choose the method, and settle the batch. Cheque runs issue numbers in sequence from the first cheque you name; every bill in the run is cleared against its supplier, and every posting lands in the ledger individually.
Each row shows the bill, its date, due date, days overdue and the outstanding amount — the run is planned and executed on the same screen.
Credits get spent before cash does
Unused supplier credit notes are flagged at the top of the run — apply them before paying cash, or the credit sits unused while the money goes out. It is a one-line banner that pays for itself the first week.
The run's total updates as you select, so 'what does Friday cost us?' is answered before anything is committed.
Discipline the books can prove
Every payment in a run posts like any other supplier payment: against the bill, from the mapped account, visible in the Cheques register when it is a cheque, and in Payables the moment it lands. A run is a workflow convenience, never a special case the auditor has to think about.
Tap any bill in the run to open it — the document behind every number, one click deep, as everywhere in SeroBooks.
