What you owe, when it hurts, at a glance
The payables screen is the mirror of receivables: every supplier, every open bill, aged by how long it has waited. Debit notes net in automatically, so the number beside a supplier is what you would actually pay today.
What you get
What you owe, aged fairly
Payables mirrors Receivables on the supplier side: every unpaid bill, aged from the bill's own date — so a supplier on 60-day terms and one on 7-day terms are compared honestly. Total payable leads, then the buckets: current, 1–30, 31–60, over 60, with the overdue amounts called out in red.
Each supplier row carries bill count, oldest date, the per-bucket split and the total owed, with Pay one click away.
A planning tool, not just a list
The aging is how a payment run gets planned: what must go out this week, what can wait, and which supplier who is about to deliver should not be kept waiting on the last delivery. Terms are relationships; Payables is where you see yourself keeping them.
Credits from purchase returns net into every balance shown, so the figure beside a supplier is what you would actually write the cheque for.
The same number the balance sheet carries
The payables total here is the Accounts Payable line on the balance sheet — same ledger, same postings, no sub-ledger to tie out. Drill any balance to its bills, any bill to its lines and payments, any payment to its journal.
Month end stops being an investigation because the operational view and the accounting view were never separate.
