The Employees menu is SeroBooks payroll: the people you employ, paying them, tracking their time and vacation, remitting what you withhold, and the year-end and termination paperwork.
Opening the Employees menu
- Click Employees on the menu bar, or rest the pointer on it.
- Or press Alt+M (the m in Employees is underlined).

Grey lines divide the menu into three groups: paying people (Employee Centre, Pay Employees, Timesheets); items, balances and remitting (Payroll Items to Employer Levies); and year-end and setup (Year-End Slips to Payroll Setup).
Every item opens its screen in its own window (in Multiple Windows), after SeroBooks checks that your role may open it.
Items that depend on the country
Employer Levies, Records of Employment and PIER Review are Canadian. In a company set up for the United States they are not shown, because none of them exists for an American employer; the other payroll screens carry the US equivalents.
Common problems
- There is no Employees menu. The company does not have payroll, or your role cannot see any payroll screen.
- Some items are missing. Your role may see only part of payroll (for example Timesheets but not Pay Employees), or the company is set up for the United States (see above).
