The entries that happen every month, handled

Rent does not forget to be due, and now the books do not forget to record it. Recurring templates post the predictable entries on schedule, leaving month-end for the things that actually changed.

The bills that repeat, raised on schedule

Rent, insurance, subscriptions, the monthly accrual journal — recurring templates raise them on schedule, on the server, whether or not a till is open that day. Kind, cadence, next date, last raised: the register shows each template's rhythm at a glance.

A template is a real document pattern — a bill, an expense, a journal — not a reminder. When it fires, the books move.

Period locks are respected

A closed period is skipped rather than written into — the recurring engine honours the same locks the rest of the ledger enforces. No 'automation' quietly posting into a month the accountant already signed.

Raised mode is visible per template — post automatically, or stage for review — so trust is dialled per document, not global.

Set once, audit forever

Every raised document carries its origin, so the trail from 'why is this bill here?' to 'the template raised it on the 1st' is one look. Amend the template and the next raise follows; history keeps what history had.

The screen's tagline is the philosophy: bills, expenses and journals that repeat — the server raises them, you review the exceptions.

Frequently asked questions

What should be recurring?

Anything contractual and constant: rent, insurance, software subscriptions, loan payments. If the amount varies, book it monthly by hand instead.
