Labels and barcodes, sheets or rolls

The label job runs Stock → Design → Items → Preview → Print, because that is the physical order: what is loaded in the printer decides everything about the design. Pick an Avery sheet layout, a roll, or type a custom size in millimetres, and every later step lays itself out to match.

Each step hands to the next, so following Next from the start does the whole job correctly the first time.

Drag brand, name, variation, price, SKU and the barcode onto the label; positions store as proportions, so a design survives a label-size change. The preview draws the sheet at true size — check the barcode is not crowding the edge before committing a box of labels.

Half-used sheets are respected: start printing part-way down, skip used positions, and print the outline only when aligning new stock.

Barcodes are validated before printing. Encode data invalid for the symbology you picked — the wrong length for EAN-13, say — and the label falls back to Code 128 and tells you it did, rather than printing something no scanner will read. Five hundred useless stickers is a mistake this screen refuses to make.

All the usual symbologies are offered, and variation labels carry the variation name, so a rack of S / M / L reads correctly instead of all saying the same thing.

Queue items straight from the product file with typed quantities — 100 labels is a typed 100, not a hundred taps. Output goes to a mapped printer or a PDF you can print anywhere.

Print one first on new stock and hold it against the shelf: the tip the screen itself gives you, because it is the one that saves the box.
