The Vehicle List holds the vehicles you use for the business — the van, the truck, a car you claim mileage on. Enter Vehicle Mileage records each trip against one of them, and the mileage reports total them.
Opening it
Lists ▸ Customer & Vendor Profile Lists ▸ Vehicle List. If you open Enter Vehicle Mileage before any vehicle is on the list, SeroBooks says Add a vehicle first — Lists › Vehicle List. and opens this list for you, on top of Enter Vehicle Mileage.
From the menu it opens over the Home Page, and Esc takes you back to the Home Page. It needs permission for Jobs.
The line under the title reads The vehicles whose mileage you record: Enter Vehicle Mileage picks from these.
Add a vehicle, step by step
- Choose New Vehicle.
- Type the Vehicle Name — something you will recognise, such as "2022 Transit van" or the plate number.
- Choose OK.
Make inactive takes a vehicle you have sold out of the mileage form without losing its past trips. Delete removes a vehicle; use it only for one entered by mistake. See Lists in SeroBooks.
Where it is used
- Enter Vehicle Mileage: the Vehicle box on each trip.
- Reports ▸ Jobs, Time & Mileage: Mileage by Vehicle Summary and Detail. See Jobs, Time & Mileage reports.
Anyone who can open Jobs can change this list.
