The Ship Via List holds the shipping methods and carriers you use: Canada Post, Purolator, UPS, FedEx, DHL, Pickup, or your own courier.
Opening it
- Lists ▸ Customer & Vendor Profile Lists ▸ Ship Via List.
- Edit ▸ Preferences ▸ Sales & Customers ▸ Ship Via List.
From the menu it opens over the Home Page, and Esc takes you back to the Home Page. From Preferences it opens on top of Preferences, and Esc goes back there. It needs permission for the Customer Centre.
The line under the title reads How goods go out: Canada Post, Purolator, Pickup…
A new company starts with Canada Post, Purolator, UPS, FedEx, DHL and Pickup.
Add a shipping method, step by step
- Choose New Shipping Method.
- Type the Shipping Method Name.
- Choose OK.
Make inactive hides a method; Delete removes it. See Lists in SeroBooks.
Where it is used
- In Edit ▸ Preferences ▸ Sales & Customers, Usual shipping method is chosen from this list. See Preferences.
- Invoice, sales receipt, sales order and purchase order templates have a Ship via header field. When it is ticked, the form prints the shipping details recorded on the document.
