The Job Type List holds the names you use to sort your jobs: Commercial, Residential, Renovation, New Build. Types can have sub-types, such as Residential:Kitchens. You choose a job's type when you add or edit the job.

Opening it

  • Lists ▸ Customer & Vendor Profile Lists ▸ Job Type List.
  • Edit ▸ Preferences ▸ Jobs & Estimates ▸ Job Type List.

From the menu it opens over the Home Page, and Esc takes you back to the Home Page. From Preferences it opens on top of Preferences, and Esc goes back there. It needs permission for Jobs.

Add a job type, step by step

  1. Choose New Job Type.
  2. Type the Job Type Name.
  3. To make it a sub-type, tick Subtype of and choose the parent.
  4. Choose OK.

Using job types

When you add or edit a job (see Jobs), the Job Type box offers the active types from this list. A type you make inactive is no longer offered, but jobs that already have it keep it.

Anyone who can open Jobs can change this list.
