A QuickBooks Enterprise alternative for inventory-heavy businesses
Businesses often move up to QuickBooks Enterprise for one reason: inventory. Serial numbers, bins, more users and tighter permissions. SeroBooks includes that depth, runs on every device, and keeps the familiar QuickBooks Desktop style of menus and forms.
Serials and batches
Track each serial number, and batches with expiry dates, from receiving to the sale.
Warehouses and bins
Stock by location and bin, transfers with an in-transit step, pick and putaway.
Landed cost and assemblies
Freight and duty carried on the goods; items built from a recipe (Pro plan).
Roles and approvals
A View and Allow permission tree over every screen and action, with approvals by a permitted user.
Inventory that goes all the way down
SeroBooks records stock by location and by bin. Receiving asks which shelf; picking follows the order. Serial numbers can be looked up to the sale they went out on. Batches carry expiry dates and can be traced for a recall. Barcode labels print from your own designs, including on label printers.
Items can carry their own income and cost of goods accounts. Freight, duty and brokerage can be added to the cost of the goods they came with, so margins are right per unit. Demand forecasting suggests reorder levels from your own sales history.
Control for more people
Every screen and action sits in a permission tree. Give a clerk the right to receive payments but not to make journal entries, or to view reports but not export them. Approvals can be given by any permitted user with their password, and every change is in the audit trail.
A closing date, with an optional password, protects periods you have filed. Staff sign in with their own names, and team chat keeps questions next to the work.
Familiar, and on every device
The menus, the Home Page and the forms follow the QuickBooks Desktop layout, so an experienced team keeps its speed. The same company opens on Windows, Mac, iPad, Android and the web.

Frequently asked questions
How many users can I have?
Each plan includes a set number of users and locations. See the pricing page for current limits.
Does SeroBooks do assemblies?
Yes. Assemblies built from a recipe, product groups and variations with their own SKUs are part of the Pro plan.
Can I bring my QuickBooks Enterprise company?
Yes. SeroBooks connects to QuickBooks Desktop, including Enterprise, and reads the company across with a dry run first. IIF import also works.
Does it work offline?
No. SeroBooks needs an internet connection so that every device and person sees the same books.
