The statements check themselves out loud: trial balance balanced and at what figure, balance sheet balanced, cash flow tied to the cash accounts, every journal balanced individually. You start from verified, not from trust.

Any figure on any statement opens to the entries behind it, and any entry opens to the sale, bill, payment or settlement that wrote it. Sampling is clicks rather than a list of PDFs requested by email.

The audit trail keeps superseded journal lines with who replaced them and when, so corrections are visible instead of invisible.

Closing a period locks it at the ledger — not a warning dialog. No backdated invoice, edit or recurring template can disturb a signed month from any till. Corrections happen in the open period with the trail intact.
